The Flitwick part was killer! I love the book idea, that's so clever. Your post-DH universe is one of my favorites.

The Book idea is one-hundred percent Rowling. I think. I just posted an LJ about it, and I might go back and put a note on this chapter as well, because I DON'T want to take credit where it's not due.

The book was mentioned in an interview in 2000 with Scholastic.com. I found it on Wikipedia and went with it.

Okay I'll get the one thing out the way first, in England we don't call them cell phones, we call them mobile phones. There, one thing done!

Now...

THANK YOU for not making Ginny a psychotic loon in labour! Thank you for making her a young woman exhausted, wanting her mummy, wanting her husband and generally still being a strong woman! Harry's little promise to get his wand if 'she pushed a few more' was perfect as well! Bless him!

Poor George lol, his mind shall forever be burned with the images of his little brother, and his little brother's mate's sex lives! And you have simply got to love Luna and her bluntness, welcome to the magical world Petunia Evans (and was the specific use of Evans suggesting a divorce that had passed? Or has that been mentioned before and I seem to have forgotten it?).

Wonderful as usual!

The divorce of Petunia and Vernon Dursley occurred after the Potter/Weasley-Weasley/Granger wedding. Here's the link to the beginning of that section, if you missed it:

http://kanedax.livejournal.com/183236.html

WeddingFic is a two-parter, ReceptionFic is a two-parter, Muggle Charms is a one-parter, and Things You Already Know is another two-parter. It introduces the New And Improved Petunia and Dudley and their eventual separation from Vernon.

You also see the beginnings of Dudley/Susan, the introduction of Neville/Luna, as well as a brief cameo by a certain Slytherin.

Oh, and um....

1) Fixed!

2) Thanks for the Ginny stuff. I know next to nothing about childbirth, so I was trying to run off internet testimonials as much as What I've Seen In The Movies.

“A few more,” Harry said, trying to smile. “A few more pushes, then I’ll get my wand, okay?”

Awww... if only MY husband had said that...

If he had a wand available, I'm sure he would have offered. Otherwise he would have just received a blank stare. ;)

“The baby will come when it comes,” said Arthur. “It won’t be any less of a baby if it’s born tomorrow.”

That was a great line. I always thought that the ministery would know about each magical child born.

I'm sure the Ministry has their own book. That's they only way they could make sure that The Trace was available on all children.

However, Hogwarts is still, for the most part, an independent body, so they have separate listings.

Again, the book is Rowling's invention, not mine.

Ginny's labor was really well done, especially coming from a man who has not, and will never, experience the joy of childbirth. ;)

I LOVED that you tied in the magical book. Someone either has a good memory, or did their research. :D It was good to see Flitwick, too. You portrayed him nicely, if not a little sadly in his age.

Oddly enough... I'm... sort of rooting for Neville and Luna to break up. I don't know why, exactly, but... It seems almost unnatural when you get right down to it. You wrote them well, either way.

AND, I am so sorry, but the "Congratulations, children" makes me think SOLELY of Chef from South Park. LOL, UGH. I'm hearing Flitwick, but the minute I see that line, Chef's voice is in my head. I've been brain washed.

Hey there children!

Hey Chef!

I loved the episode when it was just him and Cartman, but he still referred to Cartman as "Children."

It might be unnatural since these two were both the most awkward people, socially. But I think they work well together, and whatever happens happens. As I've said in other comments, they're in a rough situation, all three of them, and there aren't going to be any easy answers.
