Better part of a month catchup post.

When we last left Our Protagonist, she had just expressed extreme frustration over work schedule indecisiveness.

Since then...

* The schedule has stabilized and we do, in fact, have more time for the Big Project. This also means that I will be able to go up and visit capfox in October! We've been promising a visit for a while so it's good to finally ( Read more... )

The Arashi folk (including me, Stormhawk, Nonana, Selece, etc.) are on Gysahl; none of us had serious problems getting on but there have been reports that it has been closed for brief periods.

I'd promised folks I'd head for Mysidia first, otherwise I would have come and joined you. I'm almost tempted to start a second character just for a different experience, but I think I'll wait a bit before doing that.

I have my fingers crossed that people aren't going to move off Mysidia, or I'm gonna be in a sticky situation getting my high school friend moving with me. :<

I'm almost done with Layton and the Unwound Future if you find you want to discuss it.

Don't have it yet, and probably won't get to it for a bit. I'm just now getting around to finishing the challenge puzzles for Diabolical Box, actually. ^^;

I know what you mean about the random parties, tho I still will drag ya into one if yer on and it's a good party (no unnecessary deaths, plenty of time chests, etc)

And yeah, I'm not even installing FF14 right now. My computer can't handle it without a major upgrade (which I'm saving for since I got a major crash taht I recovered from, which makes me think my computer is getting ready to die.)

But I am not going for another mmo until I quit FFXI.

Whitegate shout alliance. I'm sure there are good ones, but my tolerance is very low these days. ^^;

Me, I just do what I always do Cy. Find something to do, (GBA game, or crafting) and seek with a good search comment up.

It can take me hours to get a bite but I usually do get a bite. I've had basically 9/10 decent ones that way. (The one really awful one, we didn't get ONE time chest. Not one.)

As Klaital can tell you; I'm not above dragging friends into a decent one. And "decent" for me for aby is we're getting a lot of xp and time chests, and few people go down. (The one today that I got 83 smn today in was kinda eeeeh ok; the dratted things kept ga'ing the foo out of us and people would die. I only went down once but that was my stupidity; I tried to Odin ONE too many mobs. xD...I wouldn't of subjected you to that.)

Oh trust me, I know. I always have my DS or my book on standby. It's just frustrating that, since I only have a limited amount of time in which to play, I can't go right out and say "I'm going to xp tonight!" and then have it reliably happen (outside of the Thursday night group). I think from now on I'm just going to go ahead and use my time to work on quests and Campaign and such with my flag up, and if I get a decent-sounding invite, there I go. I don't have hours to just sit around and wait.
