Despite all the horror stories, I'm finding Office 2007 surprisingly easy to learn and in some cases very intuitive. Of course, I haven't tried anything like drawings in PowerPoint or Visio, which made me swear at the PC frequently in Office 2003 and earlier ( Read more... )

I'm rather liking Windows 7 myself -- and now that I get how the menu bars work, I can do what needs to be done in Office 2007 as well.

I'm probably going to be getting a new PC next year, so I'm glad that Windows 7 isn't the Horror That Was Vista.

I think you may have the attribution for the lawyer gag reversed, but it was funny either way.

We may have both come up with Phoenix Wright being the answer. I can't quite remember, but I don't think it as just me.

I suppose that I should make finishing FF12 one of my goals over the Christmas holidays. It'll probably take an hour of searching through my notes and guides just to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing next.

This is why I wish more RPGs had a "party chat" function like in Phantasy Star IV and the DS re-releases of the second set of Dragon Quest games, or a plot summary/diary thing like Tales of the Abyss or Tales of Symphonia. It's nice to have an easily accessible memory jog.

If you call up the map, there's generally a little one to two sentance summary of where you're supposed to be going next, and sometimes a marking to guide you in the right direction. It's not as nice as a plot summary/journal type thing, though.

I think I actually do remember my next destination (take the airship to the giant lighthouse thing) but there were a couple of other bits I wanted to take care of first (equipment upgrades, etc.) so that's probably what will require the greatest amount of notes consultation.
