My older twin, Robert Wyatt, was on Radio Four today. It's a surprise sometimes when I remember I've never met him.

My first niece, Lucy, would have been 28 today; I was playing Wyatt for her last night. I am waiting for another niece now.

Curious experience yesterday when I visited my old primary school teacher, who has been in a home for the last few years. Her mental decline is inexorable, and for a long time she's been confused about who is alive and who is dead (the answer is that all her family - her mother, daughter and husband - died during the 1990s).
