Did we give the glee away? Why are we taking it back?
Dear LJ Fairy:
Okay, I must have missed something (this happens a lot) because I keep seeing icons and banners and whatnot that say "2009: Take Back the Glee" and I'm without clue. Why are we taking back the glee?
I mean, don't get me wrong, I like glee. Love it, in fact. I am in favor of glee. If there is going to be glee, I wish to be involved. But did the glee...I don't know, go somewhere? Was it gone? Did we lose it? Was it stolen? What happened that is now making it necessary to take the glee back? I'm confused. I wish to join in the taking back of glee but I have no idea who/what/where we're taking it back from. Would someone mind explaining?
ETA: Okay, so apparently the Take Back the Glee movement is basically a bunch of folks in my corner of LJ deciding to face the new year with aggressive optimism and a readiness to be gleeful because 2008 was less than awesome so they want 2009 to be better. I support this wholeheartedly! Take back the glee! *edits entry to use appropriate icon and tag*
