So I was looking up the lyrics for CCR's "Down on the Corner" so that I could sing it for that meme, because
ruthette requested it, knowing full well that no one actually knows what 95% of the words are to that song.
I always thought the second stanza of that song went something like this:

I've always sung it as "Hey, where do we go?" But I have no idea if I'm right. That is very much a make up the words kinda song.

There's a later line "going down the old mine with a transister radio." For a long time, I understood the words to be "gunnin' down the old man with a transister radio." I think I had a visual image of a teenager blaring a radio in the vicinity of an old man. Hey, it was the 80s! Ghetto blasters were all the rage.
Oh like rock music lyrics are supposed to make sense anyway...

What is a kalamazoo? I always thought it was an international congress of mediaevalists (or at least the site thereof), but on the whole, that makes even less sense than the satanic canoe...
