ME: We need to talk.

MYSELF: Oh?

ME: Yeah, here's the thing: you know how you put "March of the Penguins" on last night because you wanted to finish the ironing but not feel compelled to stay up any later than that ( Read more... )

Three inch stilettos? Are you INSANE????

Clearly you are. Either that, or you have ankles of steel.

For myself, I cannot wear anything higher than 2" (and that's pushing it) or anything that does not have a "chunky" heel.

It's the same reason I can't ice skate--no base for support.

Wear the flats. Seriously.

Please tell me you don't wear the shoes with the pointy toes. Because those? Were originally invented as torture devices. Trufax.

Are you INSANE????

I think I must be. *laughs* Actually, my three-inch heels are very comfortable for work and church, since I don't have to walk any great distance or achieve any great speed. The only reason they hurt right now is the injury to my foot. Normally I experience no pain at all.

And no, I can't stand the pointy toes. I don't actually mind them on other people, I just hate the way they look on me.

Ha ha! I'll have to get Ernie to take some pictures of my feet in my awesome shoes, sometime.

Even a short heel can make me feel h-e-double-t, though I am a comfort driven creature by nature. But if I need a boost - red lipstick and a pair of heels.

Of course, if you can get away with them, these are pretty and extremely comfortable:

I've heard really good things about New Balance, though my current running shoes (Nikes) are just the bomb, too. I wish I could wear those to work, but alas. The Shiny Office has a very strict dress code.

Those are very cute.

For years I looked at the logo on that brand of shoe and wondered why they had a 'Z' on there, when the name is New Balance. Couldn't figure that out for the life of me.

Hah, that's a motto!

"The Z pivoted 45 degrees stands for New Balance!"

But they're pretty! *laughs* I know, I have no idea why I'm wearing them on my hurt foot. I am such an idiot sometimes.

(Baby penguins! Squee! They are so squishable!)

I learned to walk in heels a couple of years ago, and with some practice have gotten at least decent at it. I'm not always graceful, but it works for the most part.

I was just reading about Doc Horrible on another friend's blog! How funny. I will definitely have to check it out.
