More showing off of the quilling!

No, I will never get tired of posting pics of my quilling. Nevaar!!

More experiments in the design of cards featuring wheat-ear flowers, and another closed-coil tree under the cut. Beware some gratuitous close-up shots because Ernie loves taking them, and they're just too pretty not to post, sometimes.

Pretties! )

I think I like the first one the most, but I also tend to like anything with blue and purple in it over things without those colors.

Thanks to Ernie for his photography!

I really love that you're doing nontraditional designs. The tree is especially beautiful, as is the curvy vines one. And I love your color sense!

Oh, they look good enough to eat! :D

Sorry, I have food on the brain, constantly!

They are great, very well done. One question though if you send these as cards howdo you stop them getting squished in the post?

They're surprisingly sturdy, the quilled cards I've gotten in the mail have been in pretty good condition, thus far. The ones with lots of pieces, like the trees, seem to do the best, and the ones with long, thin pieces that aren't surrounded by sturdier shapes (like the one at the top) seem to be the most problematic. Even those don't get ruined, though, the paper just gets bent over and can be bent back up (still trying to refine my designs so that they all mail well).
