In which I fail to be Dean Winchester, and am duly chastised.

So ever since I got hooked on Supernatural back in March or whenever it was, I've been on a huge classic rock kick: Zeppelin, Journey, and Metallica have been my constant companions, and ever since izhilzha lent me the disc of "Dean's Tunes" that feliciakw made for her, I've played it pretty much nonstop ( Read more... )

I'm sorry, but I believe Soupy is right, Queen is not Dean Music. You fail. ;)

*dies of icon love*

(It's true, I do fail. But for the record, Dean doesn't know what he's missing.)

*Izh, you gotta remind me to give you that CD back with your DVDs.

Heh, I was actually going to email you or something anyway and remind you about that--I kind of really, really want to listen to it right now. :-)

Please to be brining it with my DVDs this weekend? (We still need to figure out when/where I'm meeting you to pick those up, yeah? Shoot me email and I'll get it tonight.)

If you're really dying for a copy of Dean's tunes, I can certainly burn one for you. I've also got the follow-up--"Driver Picks the Music . . . "--put together.

But if you've got access to a large classic rock library anyway, I don't think anything I can contribute will be new.

Also? Come the end of S3, Dean might surprise you. I'm just sayin'.

And finally, Zepplin was a recurring theme of my weekend. But that's for another post at another time.

ETA Re: the Soupy exchange . . . BWAH!!!

ETA2: And you *know* Dean and Sam had a blast (and drove John up a wall) singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" loudly and out of tune.

I have "Dean's Tunes" loaded on Chibbles the Cheeky iPod, now, so I'm good, there. I will definitely accept a copy of "Driver Picks the Music," however. That would be brilliant! I do have a "large" classic rock collection, in that it contains many songs. However, it's kind of anemic in that all the songs are by the same half-dozen bands. So the broader mix of "Dean's Tunes" was fantastic.

Hee, I can't wait! And yay, Zeppelin!

There is somewhere online, and I haven't been able to find it again, a place selling the SPN soundtrack where you can actually listen to the entire thing streaming. It would be worth a google; I'd expect it to be in the first page or two of results, since we found it easily and by accident.

*is intrigued*

So I did a google search, and I can't seem to find anything that plays (of course, the fact that I'm on my work computer right now might have something to do with that). And I'd LOVE to get a hold of some of the original score music. (Did you know that the score for the pilot was nominated for an Emmy? I think that's what I read in the S1 companion recently.)

Most of the stuff I'm finding on these play lists I either already have or can get easily from iTunes. With the exception of "Whatcha Gonna Do?" . . . which I sosoSO want because not only was it used in the SPN pilot, but it's been used on Numb3rs. Twice.

So if you do find where you were before, could you maybe point me in the right direction? :-) Thanks.
