Fic: Linguistic Dendrology & Fare le Corna

Apr 22, 2008 16:55

Sam had not been entirely prepared for how creepy the backstage of a community college theater could be when it was empty and mostly dark. He'd spent his year of high school drama club working mostly in the school's assembly hall, which just wasn't the same thing as a theater. The theaters where he had been backstage had always been full of hustling ( Read more... )

*grin* They really do need to do an episode with something Shakespeare-related, eventually. There are so many weird superstitions and ghost stories associated with Shakespeare in particular and theater culture in general.

Glad it made you laugh!

"And how do we know this isn't like that time with the mushroom spores, where you said you'd discovered how to speak Conifer, and wanted to go home and climb the Mountain to see what the vowel shift was like between that and Aspen?"

Now I'd like to see that missing scene. LOL

Teal'c likes them because of Lord of the Rings, and Sam wanting to learn their math! Hee! And the joke could all be on Jack.

How wonderful.

That little line just sort of popped into my head, and it made me giggle so hard I knew I had to use it. *laughs* Poor Daniel.

Love them both. Can't think of a better birthday present, and I'm sure izhilzha will agree.

I LOVE your Stargate fanfic. I'd probably like the SN fanfic if I'd seen any. One nitpick - I really liked that it was in past tense, but you slipped into current tense in the last three lines!

Oh thanks for pointing that out. My brain has the hardest time staying in one verb tense, I don't know why. *fixes*

Aw! Tree people fic! Long in the coming, and amusing as it ought to be. :-)

Jack raised a finger and an eyebrow. "And how do we know this isn't like that time with the mushroom spores, where you said you'd discovered how to speak Conifer, and wanted to go home and climb the Mountain to see what the vowel shift was like between that and Aspen?

*snerk* Oh, how I love Jack. And the fact that he knows Daniel so well. *smooshes them both*

OMG YOU WROTE CUCKOLD FIC WITH DEAN. *iz ded of awesome*

Um, this is a really neat little fic. The boys' voices are dead-on, and really, Sam explaining "cuckold" to Dean is...fairly priceless. Especially with Sam's added dig at the "rock on" horns, and...yeah. This is making me grin.

Sam couldn't decide which he found more amusing: the thought of his brother watching Hamlet in an attempt to get into a girl's pants or the thought of Dean failing to get any because he'd snored through the deathbed reconciliation. Ahahahahaha. I don't know which is more amusing, either, but I can totally see ( ... )

Yes, tree people fic. *grin* Because, as you said, it really needed to be done.

THE CUCKOLD FIC IS ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT!!

Ahem.

Because when you said the word could apply to Dean, my initial reaction was "In what way? He's not married or even monogamous, if anything he is the one making the word apply to other guys..." and then the idea of Sam explaining the term to him hit and I died of giggles.

(also, feliciakw has been wanting to get the boys into a haunted theatre, so I can't wait till she sees this fic.)

I actually remembered her mentioning this while I was working on the fic, and so I moved the setting to a theater (it had originally taken place out of doors, in Shakespeare in the Park setting).

You're welcome, and I'm glad they made you grin! *smoosh* Happy, happy birthday!
