Fall Out Boys

Sep 27, 2007 19:09

Hey, you know what is totally freaking awesome? Random fandom encounters! And they're so much more common for me now than they were in Due South, oh wow! (DS ILU.) I posted before about those girls who stopped me on the street for my TAI shirt, right? Well, ( yesterday I was at the poster sale on campus... )

love post, bandom, picspam, fandom, plkw3, music

I love that you included the picture of Pete in the soccer shirt because it's from ROY, UTAH, which is a ridiculously small BFE type of place, and then I want to know why Pete has such a shirt and while I know the actual reason is probably something terribly mundane-- like he bought it in some random thrift store-- I like to imagine it's actually funny one, like he stole the shirt from Brendon who stole it out of his 5 year old cousin's clothes pile at a family reunion one year and then I have happy thoughts about Brendon and Pete and the kinds of shenanigans that result in boys wearing one another's clothing. mmmmm Brendon/Pete why isn't there epic fic about these boys?

disclaimer I have no idea if Brendon Urie has any relatives in Utah/disclaimer.

HAHAHA, RANDOM CANON SPECULATION FTW! I love this kind of thing and encourage it whole-heartedly. After all, Pete DOES steal clothes from his friends, just ask Adam T. Siska! And I always enjoy Pete/Brendon, of course. Beautiful bottoms unite!

I love how these boys so obviously adore each other. You can tell that they're having the times of their lives because they're doing what they love, and they're with their best friends ever. And whenever they tour with another Decaydance band, I love how it's all, like, a big, gay party. ♥

So sometimes, Pete leans his forehead on Patrick while he sings about "the best way to make it through with hearts and wrists intact." Oh, whoops, by sometimes, I mean every time.

Everytime I see that, I flail. That's my favourite line in Me & You, so, yeah, *flails*.

I knooooooow, omg. I understand that some people can love music without feeling like the people making the music love each other, or that there's a real story behind it to identify with, but I am just not good at it. And these boys fill that need for me 10000%, you know?

I can't believe that isn't FANON. GOD. And during Hum Hallelujah, ohmygod. I - Pete is ACTUALLY telling us that Patrick is his anti-suicide. That's not even - we didn't make that up. *flails with you*

This fandom frequently makes me wonder what I have ever done right in my life as to deserve to get a canon as unspeakably awesome as this. I couldn't make this fandom up if I tried. <3

I love that they inspire this kind of happiness. I love that Pete can be goofy or serious, cute or sexy, sincere or sarcastic. I LOVE HIS BOTTOM. (oh wait, how'd that get there?) Most of all, I love how much he loves.

I LOVE YOU. I know, I know, I know, I agree with every portion of this comment. This canon > all other canon. Pete's bottom > all other bottoms. \o/

...I love that I looked at that last picture, decided I needed to save it, decided I needed to save it as fobdorkfaces, and then right-clicked to save and found you'd already named it dorkfaces.

So I guess pretty much what I love is YOU. ♥

another thing I love is asking people for input on what I should say to FOB when I MEET THEM IN NOVEMBER OH MY GOD.

I have already more or less ruled out "Hi, I really like your band, but what I really want to know is whether any of you happen to know Bob Bryar's middle name?" as being likely to get me taken away by security without getting to see the show.

WHEN YOU DO WHAT NOW OMG.

I THINK YOU SHOULD ASK THEM THAT QUESTION, SRSLY. Inquiring minds want to know!

PETE IS WEARING A SHIRT FROM UTAH. I am taking this as a shout-out.

You know what I love? Hearing FOB and other bandom songs on the radio. Unlike almost everyone else with taste, I do actually listen to a lot of commercial radio, and I have this in-grained, deep down reaction of complete ecstatic joy every time I hear a song I really love on the radio--even if it's on my iPod and I could listen to it at any time. I don't know, there is something just so awesome to me about hearing songs close to my heart on the radio, and it's ten times better if it's bandom stuff because these are songs I'm fannish about. And stations here play Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and Teenagers every fifteen fucking minutes, sweartagod, and it sends me into flaily geeky joy every single time. :D :D :D

!!! That makes me want to START listening to the radio, since I promise I would flail AT LEAST AS DORKILY as you do. This summer I spent quite a bit of time on my computer on my couch, with MTV Hits on and muted, so that when a bandom video came on I could unmute and flail at the screen. :DDDDDDDD

It is TOTALLY a shout-out, zee! OBVIOUSLY. ♥

*hijacks comments* Oh, I love it when that happens too! At my summer job this year we always had the radio on in the background, and there was this one week where the station seemed to be on a HUGE Gym Class kick. I got to die of glee at Patrick telling us all to take off our clothes about five times a day.

(Even better! When I hear bandom songs getting played at a club, that just about kills me. I get to flail and dance like a dork, and I can totally get away with it because everyone else is dancing too. *g*)
