Well, I am now back in Chicago (brevisse, your package is coming as soon as I find out where the hell the post office is, which will be TOMORROW if I DIE TRYING), and feeling rather nostalgic for my lovely home state of New Jersey. Hee! It's a little true. But I do love that part of Jersey too, you know? It's just, it's a bit harder to defend to people from out of state. They just don't get it. *shakes head sadly*

I realize now I had no idea what Jersey was like at all. My only reference points are Bruce Springsteen songs and movies like "Saturday Night Fever." Thanks for providing a more complete impression of the diversity and beauty of NJ, and that bit about the beauty in the ugliness of the northern industrial towns had me nodding my head. That, I certainly recognize.
