Watching a YouTube video on Conservative Communists, there was a discussion of the nuclear family as a means of collecting property and controlling labor. This is accurate, and they discussed how the nuclear family’s decline reflects changing material conditions. The promotion of it would actually tend to increase reactionary pressures.

White collar crime costs more than all street robbery and burglary. So does wage theft. As does legalized theft as in asset forfeiture, and even that is abused as in the Vice report on missing cash in Louisville where what's turned in to the evidence room is a fraction of what's seized.

Crime rates are way down. But despite a lighter work load clearance rates have crashed even further. So it's not the police solving crimes and putting criminals away that are lowering rates.

And jeesh if the work load drops but your ability or willingness to clear the cases despite ever rising budgets, as a taxpayer, I don't see a very effective use ( Read more... )

Heads need to be rolling. Officials need to be resigning and commiting symbolic seppuku and itashimasu, officers need to be fired, and if they won't do it, voters need to make their heads roll at the polls. Careers need to be ended
