Life is too much for livejournal.

It's daunting to try and keep track of this year. Time acts differently in times of transition. I remember feeling it senior year of high school. Moments cease being moments and become landmarks- "can you believe this is the last first saturday in October we'll ever spend at Smith?!?"

Eli and I are 21!! on east coast time anyway. yipppeeeeee.

there is spectacular lightning and thunder outside my window. no rain as of yet, but i know it's coming. my view of the pond is breathtaking. i am sitting in my wonderful room reading books about things i've never read about before. i am lucky.

People in New York are definetly their own breed. Watching people on the subways, on the Columbia campus, and near NYU is at times like watching an animated fashion magazine and at other times like watching a rowdy Jerry Springer-esq show. The surgery went so well. My mom and I are practically speechless we're so thankful and elated. Dr.Brownstein was in and out in 2 and a half hours, and I'm sure the results will be fantastic. Eli was chatting up all the nurses before AND after his surgery, showing his gentlemanly wit and grace right up to the moment they wheeled him into the taxi ( Read more... )
