I seem to have fallen into a new fandom. And yet, not new. Sort of. The fandom in question is House, which I got hooked on after watching a seemingly innocent mini-marathon on USA this past weekend. (The first taste is always free.) And it occurs to me that House and Rodney McKay are not all that different. I mean yes, different specialities

House is of the awesome, isn't he? And I never realized how very cool Hugh Laurie is. I went on Youtube and watched some of his old British sketch comedy, and he's great.

Julie wrote a short House fic. She's one of my favorite WL authors, so I'm assuming her other work should be good, too. I read it, but I'm not a House fan, so I have very little idea of if people are in character and all that:

Yay for linkage, thanks! It's amazing how small a community online fandom really is--chances are that someone you know likes a show that someone else likes and we all play in the same big sandbox. Or something. I may have lost track of the metaphor there.

Dude, Shalott writes house? I know her work from the SGA fandom, in which she is awesome. Yay for fandom drift! And thanks very much for linkage.

I'd love to write House/Wilson, but I strongly suspect I won't be able to do House justice. He's such a complex character.

Yeah, I think I remember that House/SGA crossover, or at least I remember seeing it. I didn't actually read it, not knowing the House fandom at the time. Now I'll need to track it down, of course. *g*

Haven't seen it yet, as I had to wait for kids and hubby to go to bed in order to have peace in the house and control over the TV. It's waiting patiently for me on my faithful DVR. Now I'm toying with the idea of staying up late and watching it tonight, or saving it for tomorrow. Is it good?

A House/Wilson comm, yay! I did find the House fanfic archive, but there are so very many stories and the few I looked at were not so good. I love the characters so it's very discouraging to see them mangled in badfic.
