Very true, British shows know how to do it but American shows don't get much right as it is so I can't see this working. And Glee has been making me cranky....

It's funny you recced 'Got To Sin to Get Saved' because I am reading it right now. I was hesitant at first because I was like no way in Hell Erik in any universe would go for that with his powers but so far it's all very convincing.

Yeah, I walked into that one didn't I lol.

Oh yes, SGA had some really excellent one's that were very plausible.

The "Glee" news is...interesting. As one of the people who adores Cory Monteith and has to fanwank Finn just to make sense of what the writers did to the character in season 2, I'm actually good with knowing for sure that he's done at the end of season 3. But it's also obvious to me that Murphy considers Rachel and Kurt his favourites so I'm expecting them to get good final storylines and I'm nervous as hell that Finn will continue to get annihilated. I feel for Cory because he's one of the strongest actors on the show and I think he gets little recognition b/c Finn isn't a showy character. Seriously, I just want Finn to get a good storyline to go out on. Then I can be done with this show ( ... )

I don't get H50; everyone freakin' character has a love interest and the only real character development Kono is getting is a love interest.

I was always cautious about dissing the creative team of H50 since I don't like their previous work; and I think they fail with their women, minorities and their portrayal of the military so the addition of more love interests and new characters to an already underutilized casts killed whatever hope I had for season two.

I am so bummed this is the end of Blaine.:( And I feel awful for the actors whose characters have been trashed by the writers.

I'm ind of glad I quit Glee in the beginning of the second season. I should have done this earlier, though.

As for H50... well, I don't plan to watch the second season without reading many spoilers telling me that I might like it. Everything I've read so far doesn't make me want to watch.

Luckily, I stopped watching Glee after I watched the pilot LOL. I don't know, not my thing I guess. :P But I was reading the news and I know so many fans will get upset, UGH.

I'm watching Hawaii Five 0 without thinking/wishing/dreaming and more importantly, hoping for anything! :D It's like a rollercoaster ride for me, I don't really take it seriously, I am enjoying the sometimes-silly plots and the nice look. :D But Kono having a love interest? I wonder why they felt it was necessary, because I have to say, she is the most awesome thing in this show...

I am so glad to finally have found one other person having reacted to Glee like I did!

kalinkahuntress, from what I'd seen of H50, more (visible) love interests don't surprise me; I'm also straining to think of a show that gave a woman more development by anything -but- men (incl. fathers) or children.

I only got into Glee because of Blaine and the singing. The rest just turned me off A LOT and it got progressively worse to the point I only watched when people were singing.

H50 has so much fail it pains me that some of my fave actors are on that show. I want it to do well for them but the writers are clueless and terrible.

Yes; it was the one thing where even -i- was disappointed in Joss Whedon.

Yes, it being a pity, a -waste-, that usually upset me most as well. Some writers -really- suck. Pandering to the audience is also wrong. But fen seem silly when they complain about TPTB because too many go OTT, wanting every detail how they think it would be better, so that justified complaints can be waved away (see SGA).
