THAT'S RIGHT, I'M BACK, BITCHES
Oh. Wait. I already articulated my arriver-ist tendencies just about six weeks ago, didn't I? Well, perhaps with repetition the tendency to post shall become more regular.
First of all, flist, a plea: I am far behind on Blackest Night. Can anyone provide me with a comprehensive reading list showing in what order I

Pretty sure that's Velma, by the socks and sweater. And glasses.
Hi. :)

Thanks for the Velma catch. Post has been edited accordingly. Given that I watched so much Scooby Doo as a kid, I knew better.
Hi. :-) How are you?

DOESN'T it? What I would have given to have Greer so resolute like that in all of Marvel continuity the last four years. I don't want Greer's playful side stripped from her, mind you - although too playful skates us perilously close to the Abyss of Byrne - but Tigra knows what she wants. That's been one of the hallmarks of her character since her inception, even though the WCA and Byrne.
That should always come through in her character, methinks. She is decisive. And kick ass.
Edit: Yes to seeing Kick-Ass. I'll totally shell out for it unless the few reviewers I trust hate it, although expecting people at, say, Salon.com to understand a movie based on a comic book is like expecting Dick Cheney to understand global warming.

The Tigra mini can be found here at Mile High or probably on eBay. Amazingly? It's Deodato on art duties - this was the period where he was transitioning from, um, let's say his more mundane and anatomically improbable period to getting SO MUCH BETTER. I couldn't believe it was Deodato's work when I first bought the Tigra mini when it came out in 2002. The coloring for that mini was outstanding, too - all warm, amber hues and tones and shades for when Greer's in her Tigra form, and then to a cooler palette of blues, greens, and greys for when she's in her non-Tigra form.
The next time I saw Deodato be anywhere this good was on Ellisbolts, but then he was back to posing all the female characters in ways that would break their spines - and he was doing this while they were doing the gunslinger walk.
But by the Pancreator, he did beautiful page layouts early on in his run with Ellis - just some fantastic work. That double page ( ... )

NOW, QUESTIONS: Can you tell me in what episodes Carter appears in Smallville? Like, a list? Because I'm gearing up for the big January premiere - I am SO all over the JSA storyline, and THEY REMEMBERED TO PUT DR. FATE IN HIS HELMET OF MYSTIC PIZZA.

Carter is in the Big JSA Movie Event on Feb. 5th. Basically, they made what was originally two separate episodes of Smallville into a two hour special that's airing all at once. Same episode also has Amanda Waller's introduction, although she'll be in more episodes throughout the season. She's heading up Checkmate.

What I meant was: I'm looking for a list of episodes that he's appeared in up until now. Can you recall offhand?

WHITE LANTERNS.
Guh. I'm still waiting for the trade so I can enjoy all of the Black Latern run at once. But. I can't wait.
And that Tigra looks bad-ass. GO GREER.

The problem with trades is that DC screwed up the order of things when they printed The Sinestro Corps crossover in trade - and for a perfectionist like me, ARGH, NO. So I'm hoping that they don't do the same for Blackest Night - I want all the precursor issues, everything. But yeah, I may have to just jump in, start reading what's out now, and then wait for the trade experience.

I'm too scatter-brained for anything but trades these days, because even if I miss an issue here and there, or read out of orders, it's still all in one place. And somewhat kidproof.
