Isn't it? Someone over on Nu!Scans Daily commented to me that it's a pop culture mandala, and that is exactly the word I was looking for. Mandala. Yussssss.

There is actually something also solicited that has been even longer in coming, believe it or not: Shazam - The Monster Society of Evil. Not the Jeff Smith miniseries, but the purported classic Captain Marvel story from the 40s. I have been waiting for this for years, ever since I read about its reputation over 20 years ago. No, it won't be as good as anything Ellis and Cassady might do. But it has my little fanboy heart racing in anticipation.

Please. No wishes for October to rush up upon us - my SAD will be in full swing by the time this comes out, and it'll be a miracle if I can get to my LCS to even BUY it. But that's what Mile High is for! (I anticipate that Mile High will jack the price up to $15.99 for Planetary #27 - months before it even hits the stands.)
