It's like a sundae of lame topped with a lame cherry!

And I want to care about that. But I have a moderate to serious crush on Channing Tatum.

I have a moderate crush on Snake Eyes, so I'll be forking over $$ to see the film. Although I'm still bitter that Monica Bellucci wasn't cast as the Baroness. Sienna Miller...cannot carry off the Baroness. I'm sorry, but no.

Heh. I always forget to tell people that I didn't grow up with access to very much American television. Ergo, no real idea what you're talking about. :) But Hollywood is never going to cast a 45 year old when they can get a 28 year old, sigh.

Monica Bellucci is <3. Though the last thing I saw her in was a French film so bad that it completely obscured her hotness.

And which film would that be?

I...don't care about any of the humans in the Bayverse Transformers. Sam's at least inoffensive, and that's far better than I'd hoped, but honestly? I don't care about them. The Autobots and Decepticons are much, much cooler. Lovecraft influence in the first film? Wow, where? Because I completely missed it. Really, I'd just prefer if all the humans were background characters while the Autobots and Decepticons go to war with each other.

By any standard of in-universe Transformer-logic, humans are at best just a helpless population to be protected, and at worst actively detrimental to Autobot war efforts when they try to do something. It just doesn't make sense to focus on them, unless you want to do a Civilian population during wartime kind of story, which Bay won't, because he loves soldiers and wants them to be important.

I will admit to liking Bumblebee's attachment to Sam -- this feeds into your "helpless population" logic, because Bumblebee can look at him as something cute and little that needs protecting, like a little puppy -- but I'm much more interested in seeing giant mechas get their moments in the sun.

I was distracted by their long, "look, we have a near-naked hot chick, boys" pans on the token chick.

You'd think, given all the running and dirt in her life, she'd invest in a sports bra, or something.

Hey, at least she's a wrench wrench? She's actually smart in the first film.

*makes cranky faces*

Monica Bellucci and Christopher Eccleston would have been HOT LIKE BURNING. My only hope is that we get another coma-by-snake-to-the-heart on Duke. That would be the ONLY REDEEMING VALUE.

Or if Lady Jaye showed up and showed everyone how it's done before going off to get a soda.

Glad to see that there will be less puny humans in the new movie. Still waiting for Grimlock and the Dinobots, mind you.
