I mean, it's inevitable in an organization as large as Amazon with lots and lots of people in touch with the public that some boneheaded stuff will happen. But you need at least one savvy dude sitting at a desk with some Google Alerts set on your company being discussed in a negative light on a variety of topics so that situations like this don't fester for a week, and you have your shit together in time to talk to NPR and Cable News shows when they come knocking.
