As if math wasn't already complex!

First lets start off with the major happenings of today..

o1. I've come into some money, as my tax return has FINALLY come in...sadly I have to put most of it towards tuition. I keep mentioning the idea of just not graduating college...but most people aren't too keen on it XD! Oh well I'm always thinking of ways to save money, so I'm sure ( Read more... )

Yeah, I always wondered why they called the numbers imaginary? It's as if they couldn't come up with something more creative. lol That is definitely an odd subject, I found it kinda scary.

You know the thing that scares me the most? I think it's if you try to divide by zero, you get nothing, it just can't be done. Seems somebody told me once that you could actually crash some calculators like that. lol

And once on a night with far too little sleep, I came up with a nifty way to multiply large two digit numbers, like say 31 times 23. 31 and 2 equals 62. 31 and 3 equals 93. You add the 9 to 62 to get 71, then just put the three on the end for 713. I guess it's similar to what you're actually supposed to do, but I can do that in a snap in my head! Confused the heck out of my tutor when she heard me doing it while taking an exam.

I really need to try your multiplication method, it sounds like fun. And as for dividing by 0, I read on Wikipedia or somewhere, that mathematicians are claiming, you actually can divide by zero. I look at it like this, when you divide by zero, you aren't actually dividing, so the number remains the same heh!

lol Yeah, they're all just crazy.

You don't know my method? I think I'm on to something! The John Miller theory, pay me!

I'll tell everyone that I knew you before your best-selling theory was printed in all the mathbooks!

There's a pink psp!!!!!
Wow, I really need to get out more.

Walmart only gives you 10 hours!!! -_- I thought they would've given you more. I tried applying, but they won't let me since I work for one of the vendor stores, and it complicates store relations.

Oh man, I remember the horrors of imaginary numbers. Especially with that annoying dreaded weird symbol that have in them. Good rant, it was really entertaining ^_^

I love my feminine psp! They're found only in asia but this one I got at Scarborough town center, and there's always ebay, so good luck! No they do sometimes give me more than 10 hours of work in a day, for example, last year, during the inventory day, they almost wanted me to stay for 12 hours, but around 11, I just had to go home...every muscle in my body was hurting DX. But the check for 550 bucks made it worth while :P! What happens more often is that they call me during the week and have me work 4-8 hours, so it adds up. I never knew Walmart wouldn't hire someone for that reason...I wonder what would happen if you said you were coming from another department store like Sears or the Bay? Imaginary numbers needs to be banned from school XP!

Math is only good/fun when it's practical.
