So I heard on the radio , and saw on CNN that a study was conducted to find out which gender was more chatty in general. And the end results were that women use 20 000 words a day , while guys only use around 7000. Some how I think this is inaccurate , especially know how quiet I am , and a female. So what do you

I was listening to the radio at work tonight and they said they did the same study at Texas Tech and men and women say the same amount of words each day. I honestly don't believe that because in general most women talk more than most guys, but there are always exceptions.

Depends on the person and situation.
I am female, but I'm introverted (terribly so) and I don't think I use nearly that many words. Hell, I probably speak 5,000 a day only on average. But yesterday, I was with my mom, and we went to a kick-ass movie, so we were just chattering away. XD

I'm the very same way. I think it all boils down to who you're talking to and the situation you're in. Heck , I'm more chatty around you :P!

on average i would say that women are probably the chattiest. i mean like you, i tend to be pretty quiet, but there are enough of those chatty chatty women that never shut up that more than make up for where we lack lol
