I have always been honest with my friends, but that requires I be blunt. You've written to your audience from a position of "doing well"- as though you were catching up with your parents and needed to assert your status, for some reason. I'm glad you are alive and stuff, but I hear from you so rarely, I find it hard to care much about status- it isn't like I needed an up-to-date report on how you are, or whatnot, but I did take the time to read it, just so you know. I wonder if you're dealing with loneliness or the uncertainty of life... that was absent in the report. People don't usually talk about the things that interest me, usually because of the destructive culture we live in.
I myself don't work, don't own status symbols, avoid human interaction... and yet I have money & security. I spend my time playing video games and talking shit about people to their face- so I basically defy this social order as much as possible; I even purposely don't mow my yard. Fuck this social order. Nice to see you aren't dead.
So the secret to getting you to post is getting you intoxicated? :P

And yes, I totally understand on the bus thing. I went through a bit of an interest in those myself as you may recall, except that they are so unmaneuverable and so darn hard to work on - or more to the point to find a place that will work on them for you. Nevertheless I think they would make fantastic RVs if nothing else. :) Park two of those big cross-country coaches side-by-side and you've pretty much got a portable double-wide!
