On September 18, 2010, a group of people from my dorm went to Tokyo Game Show! Tokyo Game Show (or TGS) Is an annual 2 day video game convention help by Tokyo Game. This conference showcases new games to come, games to play, and merchandise to buy. It was a bit of a commute to get there but it was very much worth it. Today on the way to Jiyugaoka station, I came across this local gathering/celebration. I knew that it was a tradition of people carrying a portable shrine, because I remember TUJ offering an opportunity to participate in this tradition.
