I finally called *Ruka* and explained (tried to) to her the whole story. She seemed to be listening (which I take it as a good sign of course) all through the process as if she understood. Then once I was done she was silent at first, and then asked me the stupidest question ever known to man or beast....

If you don't mind my two cents, it's probably good that you spoke, even if the conversation didn't go like you hoped. Obviously I don't know the whole situation, but my guess is she was probably feeling a little insecure and was looking for reassurance. Even the best relationships have their blips along the way.

Anyway, I hope things work out for the best :)

Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't wanna seem like I'm giving advise since my lovelife has been pretty null for a while but I would think that if she did see this post, she would realize that you weren't just telling her what she wanted to hear but that you are sincere and true to what you said. If it was a misunderstanding, then you guys will figure it out. You have to have faith in your "Ruka". She'll come around. Remember that she's just upset about this as you are. Show her how you feel and I'm sure in time, you two will be alright. Especially since you are best friends. Just don't give up. True love only comes around once a lifetime.

edit: wow, realized the date on this and I'm sure by now things are better for you. So just disregard my useless rambling.
