Welcome to the Kakashi/Sakura Reverse Big Bang!
What is a reverse big bang?
It's the biggest posting day of the year! We are going to work hard for four long, hard, wintery months, and then, in the Youthful days of Spring (April 30th), we will post everything our Hard Work has created, making a Big Bang of art and fic!
A reverse big bang has two parts. In Part One, Artists make stuff! They make pictures or comics or AMVs or fanmixes or whatever they can that is not writing! And it’s awesome! Then they send a description and a teaser of it to me by February 20th, and I post it secretively, so that Part 2 may take place.
In Part 2, Authors come and peek at the teasers and descriptions of the Artists artwork, and then lay claim to one that they like. I then put them into contact with their artists, and they get to see the full artwork! Then they write stories about that artwork, and then we post everything (art and writing) on April 30th!
What are the requirements for artists?
Every artist will be required to produce one completed piece of work, but they can do more so long as it continues on the same theme and could be used in the same story. It will be a story prompt, meaning that it should have some kind of story elements. Fanmixes need to have cover art.
Whatever you draw/edit/photomanip/create needs to have Kakashi or Sakura in it, whether though symbolism (a cherry tree or a scarecrow or a dog) or in fact (actual drawing of them).
The artwork must be at least 500 pixel in length or height. Larger is fine, though keep in mind that you will be posting on LJ.
If, after talking to your author(s), you decide that you’d like to create more art for their story, that’s fantastic! But you have no obligation to do so. Likewise, volunteering to draw more for one author does not mean that you must do so for everyone who has claimed your prompt.
And credit your sources.
What are the requirements for authors?
The requirements for authors are a completed, beta-read fan fiction of at least 1000 words. When you claim, you can choose how much you’d like to write, up to more than 20 000 words.
Multiple claims on the same artworks will be allowed after everything has been claimed once. For the first claims, you may only claim one, and it is your primary claim. After, you may claim as many as you’d like. If you aren’t going to be able to finish your primary claim, you need to contact me as soon as possible.
Kakashi and Sakura must have starring roles in your story. They do not have to be in a relationship, but they do have to be in the story. Preferably, they will interact at some point, but if you have a great idea, write it!

What are the important dates?
Artist signups start on January 2nd and will continue until January 15th.
Artist (primary) artwork is due on February 20th. They can continue making as much art as they'd like for a story until April 30th.
Art claims will run from February 20th to April 15th.
Author signups run from January 2nd to April 15th.
Author's stories are due on April 30th.
The last day to back out of a primary claim is on April 15th.
