January 5th is the deadline to submit a banner for our new layout. If you haven't already, check out
this post for details.
paigey_kun is desperately seeking a fic! If you think you might know where to find it, visit
her post here.
nimblnymph (after working out a few kinks...) has posted the
2012 Events Calendar, along with a few updates and reminders about just what the heck is going to be happening this year. If you haven't read her post already, you should definitely check it out. I promise, it's awesome.

The first featured member of the year is still TBA, but I'm sure whoever it is is pretty legendary, and we should all prepare ourselves to shower them with all kinds of love.

I've never been one for making New Year's resolutions. My personal point of view is that if there's a change you want to make in your life, you should make it right then and there instead of waiting for the beginning of a whole new year. But I do see the appeal of a fresh start, and as much as I don't really believe in them, I do try to make a few every New Year's.
This year, I resolved to spend more time with my friends and less time in my room. There's no reason for me to sit around doing nothing (and when I say doing nothing, I mean watching 10 episodes of Supernatural a day on my laptop) all day when I've got plenty of friends who are also doing nothing. I might as well spend my time doing something productive with them, like going to Disneyland and photobombing tourists' pictures. I also vowed that I would try to keep up with current events and maybe even read the newspaper for once in my life. And lastly, I promised to make my senior year of high school count.
What are your New Year's resolutions? If you don't have any... talk about any TV shows or books or movies you've been really into lately.
