Getting ready to go away for the weekend

We're off to Tampa tomorrow morning to go to Necronomicon (the Tampa area science fiction convention) Judging by the program it seems to have a little something in it for everyone...) I'm really going because they said they'd have filk - and sure enough they do. It's scheduled for three hours on Friday afternoon, so we're really going to have to

Scheduling filk on Friday afternoon doesn't sound encouraging. Actually, it sounds actively hostile to filkers. Are there other program items scheduled that early?

The convention program actually starts at midday on Friday so no, filk isn't the 'only thing' they've put that early... and there's Filk blocked in for a more regular timeslot on saturday night too. I hope all goes well!

And now we're off... and wonder of wonders we're leaving on time!
