This is true. It's got to do with our instincts to procreate and feel human warmth again, feel alive still. Okay so they're gay and can't procreate but it's the same principle.
BUT YAS TO THIS WHOLE FIC
I love that they didn't immediately fall in love, that they had past lovers. They didn't get over those love easily and carry the burden of losing them even now. I love when they start to open to each other, and start to depend on each other. It's an honest portrayal of moving on from memories to the present.
okay i'm back YO i loveeee anything and everything zombies and end of the world and hopelessness because it makes for great freaking tension and great dynamics (do i trust him can i trust him etc etc) and some great reflections on life and dear author you do not disappoint
