AUDIOPOST IS GO

Jun 07, 2009 20:42

A FIRST ATTEMPT. 4:12 minutes of random chattering, using the word fantastic three times to describe fashion and dresses in less than two minutes (WHOOPS), some Thai (my a-accent ._.) and me actually using the words WUNDERBAR and SCHÖN far too many times in my German rambling. ALSO I NEARLY STUMBLE OVER THE WORD 'INTERAGIEREN' d'ohhh. I was ( Read more... )

TV-dome.net has the crappy camrip that I watched, if you are also v impatient like moi!

And waaaugh, don't put yourself down like that! AND ALL SHOPPING TRIPS END WITH SOME AMOUNT OF SELF HATRED, as all trying-room mirrors ever suck and make you want to break them all, askjfhjk unflattering lighting and full length views of things one can normally always ignore... BUT ich kann ernsthaft das S.Oliver Zeugs empfehlen... aber es ist wahrscheinlich the last style of clothing that you'd ever be interested in, I guess?? LOL JUST IN CASE. Und die Größen da sind ja mal total bescheuert-- ich hab da Kleidergröße 34(!!! wtf crazysauce) und hätte trotzdem boob-room. Was für Möpse die S.Oliver Stammkunden wohl haben??

FIGHT FIGHT WIN OLGA!!

OMG KAZ YAY!

It is super awesome to hear your voice! You have a half American accent, it is so cute! And I love your thoughts on dresses! Thai sounds so cool.

Your German made me feel all fuzzy because it reminds me so much of my lovely Austrian friends from France last year who I haven't seen in aaaages. I love the way Austrian German is so much more melodic.

I will do a voice post some time! Because I do not have a microphone on my computer...

What should I talk about? I only speak English and French, v. dull. Oh, and a teeny, tiny bit of German and bits of Spanish and Afrikkans.

I am one of these people who totally imprints on and inadvertently steals/mimics other people's speech patterns after a while, so I guess it's good you guys can hear me now and not after a summer of hanging out with my dude friends, because wow does every question become a fight NOT to answer it with a "your mom" joke after I spend too much time with them (darling darling dumbass boys ( ... )

darling darling dumbass boys

That is how I feel about my friends quite a lot!

SRB has a randomly American accent too!

Thai sounds completely awesome. I think the Austrian thing is more to do with inflection and tone, rather than words. I have always thought about it as the difference between the way people with more Gaelic accents (Scottish, Welsh etc) sound when they are speaking English... I knew two girls from Graz, one from Vienna and one from, um, somewhere near the Swiss border? I am a bad friend and have forgotten. I knew a LOT of Austrians when I lived in France, it was very weird!

I could do the whole phoning in of the VP, I guess. I will have to look into it!

I was born in Johannesburg and lived there til I was 3. Both my parents have family there still, my mum was born there and grew up in England, my Dad the other way round. So yeah, I have a lot of residual slang that I use sometimes and people think I am making up words...

The Thai bit was spent nattering on about how I called a friend in the US to wish her a happy birthday, and then how I hope that when I get back to Bangkok my Thai enunciation will get better and less stilted and theeeen I reminisced a bit about what I miss from home (FOOD, SHOPPING, DOGS AND PARENTAL UNITS :D). The German I spent bitching about why I am sitting on my ass procrastinating like this ahhh I will hate myself ahh, oh well fuck uni, falalala ooh I watched the French Open, OMG FEDERER OMG, oooh and I had delicious food oooh oh it's 3 mins something already okayyyyyy -->switch back to English

I HOPE YOU LIKED THAT FREE FORM SUMMARY lolol

Cool! *thumbs up* I haven't seen S.Oliver before, guess they don't have it here in England? But I like dresses too. \o/

I am so impressed by your multilingualness! Also amused by your American-ish accent. :)

:D :D :D Maybe you can look for it in Berlin (saw it in your latest post, omg you in Deutschlaaaand!), though you'll probably get to see the more trendy indie fashion labels there, lol S.Oliver still has kind of a stodgy rep as they've only just rebranded themselves, iirc.

THE US MOVIES, they have left their mark! Most of the int'l schools in BKK are funnily enough American-influenced like woah though, even if they offer the IB or more brit-tailored curricula. I used to really take pride in being able to mimic the American accent more smoothly, though now I am very fond of the random mish-mash of just adapting to the more Thai-laced English that my local but int'l school-educated friends speak with each other. Much more fun with the little sounds you can hang at the end of each sentence :D

All the people from international schools I have ever known have American-influenced accents! I don't know why. Perhaps the principals watch too many Hollywood movies.
