If you want a little bit of everything. Bit slow in some areas but I still LoL'd at many things done and said. I also love the sort of drift into extreme magical mythology and the use of elementals. I won't say more as it will spoil for those who have not seen it. And the "twist" REALLY is awesome; I literally sat forward in my seat with my hands

I haven't seen Hellboy yet, but its on cable so I thought I'd check it out. I do like Ron Perlman for reasons I can't explain.

Pan's Labyrinth is good of course. I've seen Cronos too, strange but decent. The Devil's Backbone is somewhere in my Netflix list ...
