When Fred called last night sounding more than a little concerned about a "branch" from our tree landing on the wires in our neighbors' backyard, I didn't quite have this picture in my mind:

Sad thing was, the guy pulled over to the side of the road under the tree, thinking it would protect him from the hail. It did, but nothing protected him from the TREE!

LOL! Yeah, after I heard this was very localized (several trees and big branches in about one square block, with no other damage elsewhere), I thought, "downburst."

amazing..i think i'm..what..a mile from your house, and we had NO damage in my neighborhood..not even little twigs. glad everyone's ok!

Poor Fred. Good he was home so the kitties wouldn't get too scared.
Do cats get scared?

Looks like a job for pros getting the "branch" off the wires.
