Piano Tech Dress rehearsal of Don Giovanni

Things are going really well with Don Giovanni. We moved from our rehearsal location (an elementary school gym) to the performance space on Saturday. Though the hall is relatively new and looks beautiful, the acoustics are terrible. Evidently, the contractor used sound-absorbent rather than sound-reflecting brick. OOPS

I'm so excited that you tried the recipe -- I hadn't yet. Will take your recommendations too...you KNOW I'm going to need to try this since we're in tech as well...and also, likely, accompanied by some manner of adult beverage. :D

Glad to hear things are mostly going well -- I love reading your thoughts about singing, performing, etc. -- though the lack of a cross from SR to SL that doesn't involve taking your life into your own hands on a train track baffles me. And sound *absorbent* brick...!? WOW.
