 Well, I can semi-formally announce (not yet to clients, who will get a formal joint letter) that I have given 30-day notice from my law firm!

More details later.  But as of 9/1/11, I will be hanging out my own shingle as Vadimus Law L.L.C. It's been a long time coming.

More details will indeed be of interest. Where will your new office be? How are you marketing yourself? (I.e., who are your target clients and what is the range of things you see yourself as doing?) I presume your current clients are welcome to go with you?
