An analysis of Elizabeth’s social proclivities

As I like to make lists, I just made a list of people with whom I’ve become more-than-acquaintances with thus far at School. The grand total was 15 people. There were some predictable patterns as to who I’ve ended up hanging out with-e.g. I have indeed had some conversations with my roommates. I’ve also met friends of New Trier people with whom I’ ( Read more... )

Smell might have a lot to do with what soap/shampoo the person uses (Along with the natural odors of that person). A few days after a long conversation about identifying people by smell, one time I was hanging out with Chip and he asked me if I changed shampoos because I smelled like Sabrina. And I had, because my mom ran out of the stuff I usually use. It was actually kind of odd. Your post just reminded me of that instance (because both of the people and part of the subject is there).

Maybe...you could analyze subtle similarities in people's personalities due to their toiltries choices...

Funny you should mention that. Actually, thinking the reason that Jing (the girl who smells like Sabrina) had such an odor because of her shampoo, I asked her what brand she used and--alas--it was not the same. I find this especially odd because this means her smell matches Sabrina's because her natural body odor compensates for what is/isn't in the shampoo/conditioner she's using. Also the smell that Chip and the guy here who smells like him share isn't from any toiletry I know...

In Chip's case in particular, II think it's pheremones. I remember on certain days telling him he smelled nice/sexy and he told me that it was funny I should say that, because he hadn't showered in a day.

Also, my mother noticed his smell. She mentioned to me that he had a certain "musk" and she could always smell it after he rode in the car.

So.

I know the unexamined life isn't worth living for you, but I Think when it comes to making friends you shouldn't apply that but should only apply that when you have to transition to more substantial connections with them.

Opinion for its own sake.

How do I smell?

You smell like Rick. It's a subtle, sometimes sweet smell that reminds me of physical work.

You smell clean and & somewhat like Korean food--the way you smell actually has a lot in common with the scent of your house...except there's some 100% pure gene mixed in. Come to think of it, I wonder how much your odor will change now that you're living in a different place and eating different food...
Also, that part of you that wanted to learn the ballroom dancing? That is your true self. You should listen to it. It will make you feel happy and fufilled.
