This week was my annual Summer Vacation/get the hell out of the office for at least one week a year/avoid office celebrations of my birthday (which really doesn't work anymore). The last few years, this has been a week to get stuff done around the house, work on various projects, read a lot and generally loaf. This year was a little different

What a magical coincidence...I think your middle brother is going to Tahoe sometime soon, and Eric and I are going to be sort of maybe kind of near there next weekend, but I myself have never actually seen Tahoe.

We're going to be in Palo Alto the week after next, so perhaps we should get together?

And I was lazy and did not return Eric's voicemail from Thursday, but I was indeed aware that you would be in the area soon. I believe Dad's planning on the same sort of family BBQ meet up in Santa Cruz that we did last year for Labor Day weekend, so I'm expecting to get at least a bit of a chance to visit. Or at least I hope that will work out...

weekend getaways are nice and refreshing :) i know dragoness and I love our annual one in october. it was a nice way to spice up our normal routine (now we just need to prevent the getaways from becoming routine too :P )
