Did your dream self know the answers and provide them? If not how did you handle the questions (make something up, say "I don't know", say "let me look that up and get back to you", some other approach)?

It sounds like a fascinating dream setting, good luck working out the message.

Well, my solution to things I don't know has always been to see what I can do to find the answers, so it was the same in the dream. That didn't seem a bit distressing to me. Actually, there was nothing distressing about the dream. More interesting than anything else. I was enjoying the wonderful antiques and heirloom garments.

Maybe it just means I'm in a good place in my mind now. I don't know.

What a nice dream! I miss doing Victorian period events. (I belong to too many groups...)

The funny part is that I have not done any -- except in this dream.

I think it was more Edwardian, too. Somehow 1910 sticks in my dream memory.

A white Edwardian summer dress has been on my to-do list for a long time. And I love making the big hats! I think I need to have a tea party soon (when there is not an SCA weekend!).

A year ago, I made a set of Edwardian lingerie for a teen-aged grand-daughter. All froof, lace, ribbons and white linen. She loved it, bed jacket, pantalons, cap, long gown and all.

It was fun, but the cap ended up too big to wear, really. Fun for slumber parties.

I'm pretty sure that was not the first time you had alcoholic lemonade. I remember one time where you were at our apartment (on Kiely before we moved a million times) and mom came in, from running errands or something, to find you sleeping in the chair with a bag of tortilla chips and an empty Mike's Hard Lemonade. We figured that you probably didn't realize it was alcoholic, but we were quite amused :D

That apartment was a long time ago and you were pretty young. I'm not exactly denying your story, but I rather suspect it was someone else you are remembering. I don't generally fade out that easily from any kind of alcohol, and it seems odd to me that I'd be in your house alone. Your mom and I generally did things together unless she was sick.

I'm not saying you passed out from it, I suspect you were just napping, but it was definitely you. And we lived there until my junior year of high school, so it wasn't that long ago. I think you were staying over, but it definitely happened. I tend to have pretty good long term memory, especially about specific moments.

Heh heh, you and Dianna -- forever memories!
I guess I'll have to believe you, cause I don't recall even being there alone except when your mom was in the hospital. Hmm, maybe that was when?

Your youngest granddaughter would rather self-centeredly propose that the message is that you should make her that costume, in blue.

(She hopes for money for her birthday from everyone except you, and from you, she hopes for a long blue dress reminiscent of some historical period between, oh, 1200 and about 1910. Just sayin'.)

Oh, she's placing her order, is she? Well, we will see what I can do. It's only a month away. Is she size 12 girls or size 4 miss's?

Measurements are essential for the victorian, edwardian sort of thing. I'm thinking Regency (Jane Austin) would look good on her. (High bodice, light fabric with under slip.)

No, she is not placing an order. A few days ago she expressed the hope that everyone would send her money for her birthday, so she can get out of debt, and then she amended that, saying, "Everyone but Gram," and that she hoped you would make her a costume rather than sending money.

I'll get home tomorrow afternoon.

I'm joking, you know!

Yes, I will take pleasure in making her a Jane Austin dress. It may not make it for her birthday, but I will try.
