Anyways, I've only seen the first hour of the movie(yeah, that watermarked version that's the only one available online) and I don't understand Japanese, so this summary was nice in not only knowing what happened after the first part of the movie, but also understanding what was going on. (Especially since the first hour has NO L!!!! I was SOOOO dissapointed, because from the previews I've seen, and now from your statements, he seems like a PERFECT L!)

Ah, nothing beats watching something on a really wide screen (i.e. in the theatre)... but the movie isn't shown around where you are? Happy to be of service then! ^_^ And yes, that L ... (okay, I know some say otherwise, but I like L and Light in the movie, even if Light doesn't really look like Light; Light doesn't quite sound right to me in the anime either, but that's because I keep thinking that beautiful voice is Suoh Tamak of Ouran High School Host Club O_O).

To be able to watch the Death Note movie in theaters would be awesome. And I know exactly what you mean about not being able to take Light seriously in the anime! I keep getting this image of him glomping Ryuk and saying "Mon ami, mon ami!" in my head. After a while I've gotten used to it, but it's still weird. Oh well, Mamoru Miyano is adorable, so it doesn't matter. XD
