My computer is confused

So, we remember the restoring to factory default thing I had to do to my computer, right? Well, for some reason, it's now seeing my .avi video files as music files. It plays sound, but no picture. Why? How do I fix that? Anyone?

You can download an .avi player over at download.com. If you can find one that is 2-3MB, it will work with the media player you already have to play the video. :)

Your codecs need to be updated. ;-) Xvid or something along those lines. :D

Yeah, that! Get Divx. Also, an excellent player that plays EVERYTHING?? KMPlayer. And it's free. :D
