Christmas break and pretty big case of bad luck

Right. So that settles it. Over the past few weeks (or even months), I've been working so hard and so much that I've barely had time to deal with LJ or fan-related stuff. There was one thing, though, that kept me going, one huge thing that made me smile every time I thought about it: I was going to London for Christmas, and I had tickets to see ( Read more... )

I'm sorry that you're not going to get to see him. There are a lot of fans in your shoes; I expect those shows don't usually sell out nearly as quickly as they have, and he's the reason they did so. But like you said, it's not like he had any choice -- trust me, I've had back problems, and when it's bad, you literally can't even walk, so there is no way he could have performed.

As for seeing him in something else, however, have you watched the movie Learners? It was absolutely fabulous, but what really amazed me was how he could still make me ga-ga for him, even though his character was so completely different from the Doctor.

I know it's not the same as seeing him on stage, but go watch that movie. You won't regret it. :)

Yep, there's always the films and things. And I'm still determined to see him perform on stage someday. There will have to be other occasions! :)

Thanks for the pep-talk! :)

Hun, all my positive thinking went right down the toilet when I hear the confirmation he's not going to be there... and Yeah, I confess I cried (more from rage than anything).

And yeah I'm sorry for him, and Hope to heal soon, but DARN!!!! I wanted so much see him in that part!

So I said a lot of swearing things. More than a lot :p

But F**k the world we're gonna to have find several way to have fun!

:p Love ya!

Awwwww. I'm so sorry. But the other day, *you* cheered me up, so hopefully I can manage to do the same for you.

True, we won't get to see him after all, but we're still going to have a fantastic time in London.

First, we're going to spend Christmas together, which should be fun. We can talk about DW and TW all we want without either of us getting tired of it, definitely a bonus.

We're going to watch the Christmas episode live on BBC One. Can you imagine? Live!

We're going to be in London for Boxing Day, and I'm sooooo going to get a pair of high leather boots from Clarks', hopefully 80% off. *grins* We're also going to raid shops for Doctor Who parapharnalia, and buy so many things it'll be hard to fit in our suitcases.

And we're gonna see Hamlet and the performance will be very enjoyable, even without David Tennant.

We *are* gonna have a blast!
