Not quiet as in silent, exactly, but the sort of quiet you get when there's no evidence of human civilization for miles around, save a single road running straight through the middle

The two officers stare at Kaci, both blinking in surprise when they realize that there is no one behind the wheel

Spike pauses as he digests this. Roddy and the others... They have to be safe. Somewhere, they just have to be safe.

He stops himself before he can work himself up, nodding at Pepper. "Understood. Get Red Alert cracking on security. I'll brief when we arrive."

Kaci waits until she's sure the two of them have said all they wanted to, then cuts the connection and continues to cruise for home. The little flatscreen monitor folds and tucks itself back into a slot in the dashboard.

Beyond the glass of the windows, the scenery continues to rush past as they head back to Autobot City.
