☮ I am determined to hit 40k on my story today. I haven't had any time to write in about two weeks and I'm feeling both a bit of withdrawal and guilt for those that are following this story on the anon-meme and haven't had an update in that long ( Read more... )

You're braver than I am to even consider trying lobster ice cream. Not this girl. *shudders*

I love rolling change to trade up for 'real' money. I'm saving up mine right now. :D

This piece done to a Sarah Barielles song makes me shiver everytime. It is about addiction and very powerful, and gave me chills the first time I saw it.

Yay for a new school year!

Well, the woman there told me it tasted like salted caramel ice cream, so I figured it wouldn't be all that bad. :)

The funny thing is, every time I turn in our change, it always ends up being far more than I expected it to. It's enough to keep me doing it for a long time! I hope yours is a wonderful surprise amount for you!!!

Oh, that song is hers?? oh man. I remember that piece -- I saw it when it aired and it just wrecked me. The two dancers just knocked that out of the damn park.

When I lived in Boston, I was so plugged in to the folky-women's music scene, and I've missed that so much since I've been down here. I'm going to head to iTunes later on and spend a gift certificate I've been waiting to spend. :)

I am looking forward to hearing about your new class once you get to meet them. I love that first grade age- everything is still so new and exciting.
I am hopeful my Harry gets his class assignment soon. Really do not know much about second grade, and a little worried for him. He will be starting the autistic special class support this year, hope it works better for him.
I bet lobster ice cream would be quite good. I mean, cream and lobster work in lobster bisque, so why not? Maybe next time. I may have to try mushroom ice cream at the mushroom festival this year, I am so dragging the boys to that, the last time we went Harry was less than a month old...
OK back to getting the house in order for mr H's seventh birthday party on Saturday. Then he and I take off for MA for a few days to be with my Dad. Beach, Boston Aquarium, and other fun things are on the agenda.

We actually have a week or two before we can call families or send postcards, alas. Some of the lists might change a little bit, so we don't want to contact them until we know for sure.

I hope he has a wonderful second grade year. 7 year olds are so amazing in the way their brains start shifting and the the different sort of reading they can do. It's really amazing.

Yeah, the woman said that it tasted like salted caramel ice cream. And I really like sweet & savory together, so I figured I could at least appreciate it, if not full out like it. :)

Oh, yay!! Man, I miss Boston. Have an amazing trip! ♥

OH.

Um.

I'm wondering if I possibly know which story it is that you're writing on the meme... *adopts Sherlock's thinking pose*

Hope you feel more together soon *hugs* ♥

How can you possibly know??? [you can email me and give hints or ask things straight out; I might give in and admit things]

Also, Sherlock's thinking pose is really tantalizing. ♥

*much love*

I am extremely sneaky. Actually, the more I think about it, the less sure I am... Clearly, I am no Sherlock Holmes. I might PM you a hint, see if I'm right :)

Why does this not surprise me?

[well, feel free. Or email me: kaaleeATgmail]

One thing that might clinch it for you: I am the world's slowest freaking writer in the world. Most people would have been finished with this story in 2 months, tops. But alas, that is just not me...

I've liked the songs of hers that I've heard, but I haven't gone so far as to get a CD or anything. My current obsession is Adele. I'm late to the party on that one, but I didn't really fall in love til I saw her on Graham Norton.

I will be cheering for your wordcount! Can't wait to read more fic from you!
