Just finished my first discussion post for the week. All I have left is a quiz, another discussion post, to finish reading three chapters (I did a half-ass job reading them to get enough information to write the discussion post) and to do an outline of a project that is due in a month. *sigh ( Read more... )

Thank you! I'm doing what I can. Could definitely do more, but I get tired and lazy. You should see my house = disgusting.

Who are you - this is like 2 posts in a week? :)

I'm excited about the runner part. I hope the times continue dropping! I always find 5K's to be a bit disheartening because I know what time I used to be able to run them in and probably will never be able to do that again. :) Oh well.

I'd take the heat over the cold wet ones. Those are brutal.

Okay, I deserved that. :-)

I ran one today and gained over a minute because I was in rough shape and walked a lot more than usual. It's true, it's probably disheartening to know that you used to be young and fast - but, it might be fun to get one of those running strollers for Nicholas and have Peter run with you and not care about the time. Just to get back into it.

I think I might prefer cold and wet. I'm having trouble breathing in the humid ones!

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying running so much. :)

Yes, sometimes taking things slower is much better for all involved. Sometimes it feels lik eit has been forever and no time at all...

Thanks! The thing I have learned about running is that there are good days and bad days - and it's mostly about your state of mind, whether you have to battle your head to keep going or give in to the pain. And it's the same for EVERYONE.

Quite the paradox, isn't time?

I used to run track in high school, but quit because it aggravated my skating injuries. I have troubles with my left knee (where I landed my jumps) and my hips. :(

Time is a crazy thing.
