I think many older folks from that generation tend to have this view of money & spending.

Don't feel bad though...you worked hard for your money & it's ok to reward yourself every now and then!

Babe, I'm booking a tiny space in your luggage form LV right now. LV's so much cheaper in Europe and it's relatively maintenance free as compared to Bals.

Hmm. I know what you mean.. but hey.. just say you're helping your friend to buy and it's not for yourself.

In that way, u make yourself happy and make them happy.

My mom sort of gave up on me and every time I buy smth, I just say my husband insisted on buying (even if I paid for it). And a good thing is that my mom-in-law likes buying bags too... and she always tells me how much she likes my bags... and asks me for opinions/help to buy.

Ah how very true... I absolutely enjoy the buying process. So it was great buying bags for the sister and have her pay me back hahaha!
