Shopping with the future In-laws

On many counts I am supremely fortunate that Mr. P's folks have moved down to the South of France as this guarantees that I'll be making an annual pilgrimage to the fashion mecca known as Paris.

The only problem though is the fact that I cannot shop with the future in-laws around. There is this little thing call GUILT restraining my swipe happy ways (which isn't a bad thing I suppose).

Take last Christmas for instance. I was in Toulouse (the nearest big city to the town of Carcassone) visiting the tiny little LV when I nearly snapped up the Monogram Tivoli PM on the spot. I didn't because I felt so paiseh that I was about to spend that kind of money (which is not alot compared to what I drop on Balenciaga, Chanel and now H but still...) on a bag that is a dime a dozen.

Obviously his folks, like mine, are disapproving of good money spent on frivolous material goods. They are prudent and pragmatic people and would rather I invest the money in land or property.

I couldn't agree more. A look back at the past year reflects that I had spent more than USD 20K in high end bags alone. That is alot of money! So I am on a self-imposed spending ban until our next European trip (which is looking to be end of June coinciding with the Sale season in Europe yay).

This is looking to be an extremely long six - seven months. Sigh!

score!!
