every time you post one of these things there is a picture of at least one meal which is inevitably very spicy, and i just hear the announcer from iron chef going "and there we see the FLAMES of chinese cooking!" when chen kinichi sets something on fire.

man i love me some spicy shrimp w/ candied walnuts.

hehe so what i take away from this is that johns's experience in china is pretty much just an iron chef episode, with periods of gridlock and bootleg dvds. fun! i want me some spicy chinese food. mmmmmmmmmm.
