WORK
So the past few days haven't been very exciting. But here are some pics anyway!
I've been pretty much stuck inside an office building for most of the day holding my sessions. But I found some time in there to take some pictures.
Classroom. Soon to be filled with eager chinese faces staring up at me.
And they will see this! I look awkward and the screen is blanked out, but whatever!
co-worker selene taking me out to lunch! here's what we had.
a fruit plate with mayonaise to cool down the mouth from all the spicy food she was about to inflict on me. noodles with a spicy shrimp paste type. all the flavor is derived from chili peppers.
a spicy, vinegary fish soup. delicious.
slices of beef in.....spicy stuff. also very good. by this point my stomach wasnt doing so hot.
total cost of the meal with drinks: 150 RMB. which comes to about 8 bucks a person. nice.
some market that i saw from above as i walked on a pathway
me eating dinner with selene on some street standy cafe thing. it was basically a collection of street vendors who cordoned off a large area and put up tables. yes, i was having bubble tea.
all the counterfeit goods you could ever want.
subway on the way home. the subways here are price determined - maximum of 5 yuan to ride the whole distance.
yes, i really am in china. proof!
