Not so long ago, someone made a comment about missing my photos of infrastructure.
Little did I realize that there are other infrastructure-obsessed readers of
this journal! I'm sorry to keep you waiting; here are some new photos of
train platforms :)

Given how recent the other two signs are, I find myself wondering if they've really gone a year without injury, or they had, at one point around 1990, gone for a year without injury.

Pretty sure I still saw the old logo the last time I was at a station in the south, which would've been 2005 or so. I don't see either logo much in California (the Amtrak California logo dominates where I live -- Coast Starlight passes through, but I'm rarely around to see it).

As for Lancaster: The ground visible here is at grade; any passage would be underground. The lifts inside are clearly intended for freight, and they are offset a modest distance from the platform stairs. I wonder, did Lancaster have checked baggage service at one point? Perhaps this was where they conveyed baggage to the train?
