Stephen King Slams Stephanie Meyer.

I knew I still adored King for a reason.

On Twilight: I haven't read them or seen the movie, but I've seen/heard enough to know that while I might enjoy them, the writing would want to make me want to stab someone in the face. No one can really take the vampire love story in a new direction, as far as I'm ( Read more... )

I just cringe whenever I see someone reading one on the subway... such a mutilation of vampire lore, such crappy writing... ugh.

Yeah, I'll definitely be interested to read your review when you're done. I've heard a lot of opinions, and it sounds like you're leaning in the same direction as most of them. Most of the kids I've talked to about how much they love it are definitely kids that don't read fantasy a lot, or just who don't read a lot in general... they seem to be the, uh... not-as-smart kids. ::Shifty eyes::
