I guess I'm settling into this place alright. It really does remind me of Tokyo, but as far as I can tell the rain here won't melt your skin. A definite bonus ( Read more... )

That's funny. I was just thinking about how this place wasn't at all like home.

You're from Tokyo?

I've heard that name before.

The Tokyo I know is a ruin, though; almost everywhere but the Tokyo Tower and the Government Building got destroyed almost a decade ago, and the stuff that was still standing got eroded away by the acid rain.

Sometimes the scientists drop supplies. We also have a working greenhouse that grows some vegetables and the few non-perishable foods we scavenge. Latimir has working water, I don't know where the other buildings get theirs.

Supplies, huh? Where at?

A is there anything left to salvage in whatever stores are around here?

Not much of a specific area.

A bit, yes. The previous inhabitants left in a hurry.

Sounds like stores are where I gotta look, then.

Where are they?

..."Kamui."

How long have you been here? [None of the usual cheer. Going straight into DoH mode; tense. Thinking to himself, well, he probably doesn't have his powers, probably ain't too bad, yet, but-]

If you stood in it long enough, more or less.

I can't imagine.. What did you do for water? Without rain, there wouldn't be any clean water to drink, would there?

There were still some underground reservoirs with water.

A ruin. Everything went to hell nearly a decade ago, and then the acid rain started up. By the time I left, only the Tokyo Tower and the government building were still standing, and the Tower didn't have much time left before it eroded enough to fall. None of surface or rain water was safe to drink, either, so everyone had to rely on the underground reservoirs.

Oh? Where'd you go next?

A few different places. A really advanced world called Piffle and a really unadvanced one called Nihon stand out.
